I will continue to pray for wisdom and for the words out of my mouth to be uplifting. My students are really acting out, but I know underneath their tangled mess is a beautiful spirit waiting to be recognized. My job is to continue to trim the “weeds” in their life in order for them to fully bloom.

President's Day 2012 - Washington to Obama

Kids with Autism//Kids with Cameras

My students are not diagnosed with autism, but boy do they enjoy using a camera. I received some through donors choose and the kids used them on a field trip. They loved taking pictures of Monticello as well as themselves.
Behind a camera there’s no disability just a lot of freedom!

If you haven't already check this blog out. A community of talented teachers are sharing lessons and offering ideas to create or add a twist to your own lesson plans.

Thanks for all of the suggestions for my observation last week. The suggestions were great and really gave me some ideas as we go through the Civil War unit. The observation went well, after a short United Streaming video, I used a civil war letter written by a young man to his family. There was great discussion before the students started the assignment. The students wrote their own letters as if they were the young man’s brother or sister.
